A controversial, caped crusader was the star at a local comic book convention.

Comic-book superhero "Thong Girl" was in Nashville signing autographs, and promoting her new film which comes out in February.

Thong Girl stirred up controversy when she and a local director filmed a movie scene in the Gallatin mayor's office. The controversy, also known as "Thonggate", sparked international attention, and a new following.

"We've had little kids come through here that love Thong Girl, she's got a really wide fan base, young men as well, I think everyone understands its all in good fun," says "Thong Girl" creator, Glen Weiss.
