PLEASANT VIEW, Tenn. – One person has been found dead after a fire in Robertson County. Officials said the fire has been labeled as suspicious.

The fire broke out early Sunday morning at 2526 Jack Teasley Road in Pleasant View, just over a mile from Interstate 24.

Neighbors called 911 emergency dispatch around 12:30 a.m. after hearing what they described as an explosion.

Firefighters were called out, but were unable to save the home.

Investigators found the body of one victim inside. It was unclear if officials believed the victim was killed before the fire or as a result of the blaze.

The victim's identity was not released.

The exact cause of the fire was not available.

Detectives with the Robertson County Sheriff's Office said they have identified 49-year-old David Greenwood as a person of interest in the case. The suspect has been described as a brown haired, blue eyed male, approximately six-foot-one inches tall, weighing 170 pounds.

Investigators said the suspect could be driving a silver 2002 Dodge Ram that has damage to the bed area of the truck. They said the license plate on the truck is 998 BZD.

Greenwood was being sought by law enforcement for questioning.

The structure was a total loss.
