Mt. Juliet Man Arrested After Meth Lab Bust

Posted: Updated:

MT. JULIET, Tenn. – A Wilson County man was arrested after Tennessee Bureau Investigation agents discovered a methamphetamine lab inside his Mt. Juliet barn.

Carroll Johnson Cook, age 49, was charged with initiating the process to manufacture meth and meth possession. He was taken to the Wilson County Jail Wednesday.

Detectives said the investigation began with Cook's alleged meth sale in Davidson County to an operative working with the Metro Nashville Police Department.

Narcotics detectives with Metro Police and TBI agents executed a search warrant at Cook's home and found cooking pots, numerous empty packages of pseudoephedrine, muriatic acid and other components used in meth manufacturing.

The Wilson County Sheriff's Office, Wilson County Office of Emergency Management and the Tennessee Methamphetamine Task Force also took part.
