Sarah Redmond
HUMPHREYS COUNTY, Tenn. – A Humphreys County woman has been arrested for her role in her brother's death last year.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation took 29-year-old Sarah Redmond into custody Wednesday after she was indicted on criminally negligent homicide charges by the Humphreys County Grand Jury.
The District Attorney General had requested the TBI to investigate the October 18, 2011 death of 40-year-old Herbert Carl Redmond, who was a quadriplegic who could not care for himself. Sarah Redmond had been his primary caregiver for three years prior to his death.
Authorities found she did not follow dosage instructions on his medications, which led to his death. An autopsy found his cause of death was acute combined drug toxicity.
