NASHVILLE, Tenn. –Employees stopped a man who allegedly attacked and tried to steal a woman's purse inside a south Nashville store.

Police said 25-year-old Jeremy Eddy asked a woman for some change at the Walmart store at 4040 Nolensville Pike. When she got out her wallet, he allegedly stole her money, and then tried to grab her purse. He then slammed her to the floor and took off.

Workers caught him before he was able to leave the store, and held him until officers arrived.

Police said the incident was caught on surveillance video. The woman was not seriously hurt.

Eddy was charged with robbery. He was held on $10,000 bond.
