Double Homicide Investigated In Smithville

DEKALB COUNTY, Tenn. - Officials from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation were called to the scene of a possible double homicide in Smithville.

According to TBI officials, two bodies were found inside a home on Tommy Harrell Street around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Early reports indicated that one body was found inside the home and the other was found outside under a pile of debris.

Neighbors said overall this is a quiet neighborhood but they have noticed a lot of suspicious activity around that house. Police questioned several neighbors and witnesses but no arrests have been made.

Police have identified one of victims, but have not yet released the name.
