Bedford Co. Band Director Suspended After Sex Charges

BEDFORD COUNTY, Tenn. - A high school band director has been suspended without pay after being charged with solicitation of a minor.

The Bedford County Sheriff's Office arrested 34-year-old Stephen Givens of Smyrna.

Givens was the band director and choir director at Community High School in Unionville.

Investigators told the Shelbyville Time-Gazette that he allegedly sent multiple texts and asked for photos from a student.
