NASHVILLE, Tenn.- The Vanderbilt University football team held their first day of practice on Thursday. A media day at their new on-campus football complex was also held.
The Commodores head in the 2012 season with a lot of excitement under second year head coach James Franklin. Franklin said that the team plans to learn from the experience they encounter last year on the field and plan to build from the bottom up.
"I'm looking forward to getting out on the field and running around with our guys, which is something I'm passionate about. They've worked so hard all off season, our coaching staff has worked hard all off season," said Franklin.
Vanderbilt opens at home Thursday night, August 30th against South Carolina.
