NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Two roommates suffered injuries after a gunman opened fire on them while they were sleeping inside their home.
Police said the two roommates said they were sleeping at their home on 33rd Avenue North when the suspect removed the window air conditioner around 1 a.m. Wednesday.
The gunman opened fire inside the bedroom. One of the roommates was struck in the leg, and the other was shot in the arm. Both were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.
Police were questioning the victims at the hospital, but have not determined a motive for the shooting.
