WILSON COUNTY, Tenn. – Overnight storms left behind serious damage in Wilson County.
The storms came through the county between 1:30 and 2 a.m., knocking down trees and power lines.
At least one tree fell on a house on Oakdale Drive in Lebanon. The large tree snapped in half, and landed on top of the home. The homeowner said she did not believe there was much damage to the inside the home.
Sam Houston Elementary is across the street, but seemed to have been spared damage. Other streets in the area that saw damage included Vosswood Drive and Africa Road.
A homeowner on Africa Road said a massive tree was blocking the road, but it was cleaned up quickly.
Wilson County dispatchers said they had dozens of calls about trees down, and debris scattered across roads. Some power outages were reported from the storm.
No serious injuries were reported.
