One Killed In Motorcycle Crash On Gallatin Pike

MADISON, Tenn. – The motorcycle driver involved in a crash with an SUV in Davidson County has died from his injuries.

The crash happened around 3 p.m. Friday on Gallatin Pike near the intersection with Wyatt Drive.

Officials said the crash involved the motorcycle and a Cadillac Escalade. Witnesses said the SUV cut in front of the motorcycle, and police said the motorcycle had the right of way.

Police said Daniel Blackburn, the 44-year-old Goodlettsville man, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in very critical condition and later succumbed to his injuries.

Officials said they did not believe drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash. So far, the SUV driver has not been charged.
