Cyclist Injured in Hit and Run - NewsChannel5.com | Nashville News, Weather & Sports

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Friday night,  the Metropolitan Nashville Police  Department was looking for a driver who hit a bicyclist and then took off in the Madison area.

Police say the crash happened around 9:00 p.m. on Neely's Bend near Idlewild Drive. Investigators say a man was riding his bike on the shoulder of the road when he was struck by a pickup truck.

Witnesses who saw the accident say the driver of the black four-door Tacoma took off north on Gallatin Road. The victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, but they do expect him to make a full recovery.
