
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Vanderbilt unveiled its new football uniforms Wednesday night at the at Barnes and Noble Vanderbilt bookstore.
Head coach James Franklin and 16 seniors presented the 40 new jersey combinations to an overflow crowd.
The uniforms, designed by Vanderbilt football staff, mix the latest in technology and style.
The team will also wear white helmets for the first time in three decades. Last season, Vanderbilt debuted a black helmet that the team wore in addition to their gold helmet.
The variety gives the Commodores what James Franklin calls a simple, but sexy look.

The Commodores will debut the uniforms in their season opener on Thursday, Aug. 30 with a nationally televised game against Southeastern Conference Eastern Division rival South Carolina.
