NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A pedestrian who was critically injured in a hit-and-run crash has passed away.

James Houchin died from his injuries on Monday night. He had been transferred to hospice care on June 21.

Houchin was hit while crossing Old Hickory Boulevard at Delaware Avenue on the evening of June 9. The driver of the Chevy Impala did not stop and continued to travel west on Old Hickory Boulevard.

Witnesses told police the Impala had front end damage including a broken headlight.
