Police: Man Found Shot To Death Inside Burglarized Apartment

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Metro Police are investigating the death of a man found shot inside a Murfreesboro Pike Apartment.

Police said the body of the victim, 20-year-old Marcio Murphy, was found Monday afternoon inside an apartment on Murfreesboro Pike that had been burglarized. The owner of the apartment, 32-year-old Lee Car, had been out of town since Friday and returned home to find his home broken into and a dead man in his living room.

Officials said Murphy and others had entered the apartment prior to the shooting.

Anyone with information about this crime was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
