GALLATIN, Tenn.- A third person believed to be behind a counterfeit money ring in on mid-state town has been tracked down.
Last week, Michael Scarboro, 32, and Bobby Lee Brickey, 27, were arrested after Gallatin Police found they had been using fake 20-dollar bills around town. On Tuesday police also charged 44-year old Kenneth Driver in the operation.
Police said they were tipped off by workers who noticed the men giving them fake $20 bills at the Sudden Service convenience store on Airport Road in the early morning hours of June 2. A store employee noticed the vehicle description, which led police to initiate a traffic stop on June 4.
Officials say surveillance video shows Driver buying a consumer printer they believe to have been used to create the counterfeit cash.
