MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Shots were fired during an attempted carjacking in Murfreesboro over the weekend.
Police said two adults and a four-year-old child were driving into their apartment complex on Wenlon Drive, when two men approached with guns and demanded money.
The driver immediately sped away, but he told police the gunmen fired at least 15 rounds. One of those struck the back of the car, another hit the front fender, and a third flattened a tire.
Fortunately, no one was hurt.
Murfreesboro police were working several leads and patrolling the area, but no arrests were made.
