NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police think two crimes in East Nashville only a couple of hours apart may be related.
The first was a carjacking that happened around 9 p.m. Thursday at North 9th Street and Mansfield Avenue. Police said the victim told them a man came up to him, pointed a gun at him, and said "get out, and don't look back."
The other crime, an attempted robbery, happened around 10:15 p.m. on Benson Street and Eastland Avenue.
According to police, a man matching the same description walked up to a second victim who was standing outside his car. He tried to rob him, but there were other people standing around so he left without taking anything.
Officers tried to track him down with K-9's but didn't find him.
