NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A man was arrested for injuring another driver after allegedly throwing a hammer at his car while driving on the interstate.
Metro Police said the victim told them he was traveling along I-40 westbound near White Bridge Pike.
That's when a red SUV pulled up next to him, and threw a hammer at the victim's driver's side window.
It shattered the glass and hit the victim in the neck, but he managed to maintain control of the car.
He then called police who used his description to arrest the suspect, 18-year-old William Garton.
He was booked in jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon.
