Accused Child Rapist Arrested

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – An accused child rapist has been arrested by Metro Police.

Officials said that 43-year-old Cedric Jones was accused of kidnapping and raping a 14-year-old girl in March of 2010. Police said the 43-year-old Nashville man was free on $200,000 bond awaiting trial when he cut off his electronic monitoring bracelet Sunday and fled.

He was scheduled to be tried in a Davidson County criminal court on four counts of aggravated rape and one count of aggravated kidnapping.

Jones was arrested on Wednesday.
