CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.- Weather may be the most common cause for losing electricity, but a wide-spread power outage in Clarksville Sunday morning is being blamed on a snake.
More than 12,000 homes near Fort Campbell Blvd, Riverside Drive, and Main Street lost electricity Sunday. When power crews went to investigate the problem, they discovered a snake inside a primary substation. The snake had somehow tripped a protection device.
The power was restored in a few hours.
