NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Metro Police are searching for a 15-year-old boy who escaped from custody while being transported near downtown Nashville.
Santonio Jenkins allegedly jumped out of a car on 1st Avenue North at Spring Street around 10:15 a.m. Tuesday. He was being transported by an employee of Omni Visions, a contractor for the state of Tennessee, from Nashville's Juvenile Justice Center to a facility in Shelby County.
Jenkins was being held in relation to a probation violation matter.
Police said he was wearing leg shackles with an 18 inch spread, blue sweat pants and a white shirt.
