Vanderbilt Season Ticket Sales Surpass 2011 Total

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Vanderbilt has sold about 12,700 season tickets for the coming football season, surpassing last year's total.

The 2011 figure was 12,489. The Commodores finished 6-7 last season including a loss to Cincinnati in the Liberty Bowl.

This fall's home schedule is South Carolina, Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, Presbyterian and Massachusetts.

Athletic officials said they expect season ticket sales to pick up as the season approaches.
