CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.- A local University will be marking a milestone next week when a record-breaking amount of students will earn diplomas.

Austin Peay State is setting the stage for 1,075 students to graduate next Friday. That's the largest class in APSU history. The first half of graduates will walk at 10 a.m. while the ceremony for the second half begins at 2p.m. Both ceremonies are being held in the Dunn Center on campus.

The University credits the higher numbers to its new Winter Term, giving students an opportunity to finish their degrees sooner.
