NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Dan Uggla and Tamika Catchings have been named athletes of the year by the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame.
Uggla, of Columbia and the University of Memphis, had a 33-game hitting streak last year for the Atlanta Braves.
Catchings, a former Tennessee Lady Vol, was named most valuable player in the WNBA last year as a member of the Fever.
The two will be honored at the annual awards banquet and induction ceremony May 19 in Nashville.
