Demetreous Santiago
JACKSON, Tenn. – Police in Jackson said they are looking for a person of interest in a vehicle arson that could be linked to a murder in Memphis.
Police have issued an arrest warrant for felony evading arrest by motor vehicle for 18-year-old Demetreous Santiago. Police said they found a gray 2002 Lexus on fire on Park Avenue around 5 p.m. Thursday. They believe the fire was intentionally set.
The car was registered to Charles Jones, of Bartlett, who was found dead Thursday in Memphis after being reported missing.
Police said Santiago fled Shelby County in Jones' car and went to Jackson.
Memphis Police continue to investigate Jones' murder.
Police said Santiago has ties to Lexington Ave. and Reynolds Dr. in Jackson. Police said he may possibly have fresh burns on his face.
