NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Police have arrested the man who shot at an unarmed man at a stoplight on Rosa Parks Boulevard earlier this week.
Officials said 24-year-old Timothy Batts surrendered himself early Friday morning to police custody. Batts was charged with criminal homicide after he fired shots from the back of an SUV at the driver of another vehicle.
The victim of the shooting 19-year-old Cheyenne Turner was stopped at the red light at Rosa Parks Boulevard at Dominican Drive when he was hit. Turner was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Police said Turner had recently received at ten year sentence for attempted second degree murder for shooting Batts outside a Jefferson Street barber shop in January 2011.
Batt was taken to the Davidson County Jail where he was being held on $100,000 bond.
