Man Charged In Shooting At Brentwood Hotel

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Police have arrested a man in the shooting of a woman inside a hotel in Brentwood.

Herbert A. Young, 29, was charged with attempted criminal homicide in the May 2, 2011 shooting of Justine Compton.

Compton called police early that morning to report that she had been shot through the window of her hotel room at the Extended Stay America on Church Street.

Police said Compton was working as a prostitute at the time of the shooting.

Police did not release a motive for the shooting.

Young was held at the Williamson County jail on $50,000 bond.
