SPRING HILL, Tenn. (AP) - Workshops beginning Thursday across Tennessee are designed to help farmers with harvesting, storage, direct marketing and merchandising.
The four-hour workshops are being presented by the University of Tennessee Center for Profitable Agriculture.
The events, titled "Decision Making at Harvest and Beyond," are Thursday in White Pine; Jackson, February 20; and Clarksville, March 5.
Topics include choosing the best time and how to harvest fruit crops for the right market. Also to be discussed is storage conditions for various fruit crops.
