MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- Agents from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and local police have raided a Murfreesboro pain clinic first exposed by NewsChannel 5 Investigates.
Executing what is believed to be a federal search warrant, agents raided Total Pain Solutions on Church Street sometime around 2 p.m. Friday afternoon. They could be seen questioning patients and were expected to begin hauling out records from the facility.
Murfreesboro police spokesman Kyle Evans called the facility a "pill mill" and said that it would be shut down following the raid.
As NewsChannel 5 Investigates first reported, the clinic has ties to Zachary Rose, a Florida man who is facing federal drug charges in connection with a string of pain clinics he operated in the Jacksonville area. Rose is currently a fugitive wanted on those charges.
