Preds Sign Tootoo To 2-Year Extension

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The Nashville Predators have signed forward Jordin Tootoo to a two-year contract extension. 

General Manager David Poile announced the deal worth $1.95 million. 

Tootoo was drafted in 2001 and has career-highs with seven goals and 13 points in 41 games this season. 

In his 210 career games with the Predators he has 40 points and 365 penalty minutes. 

The 24-year-old Canadian was the first Inuit to play in the NHL.
