HOOVER, Ala. (AP) - Demarcus Henderson and Wes Rea both had RBI singles in the ninth inning to lift Mississippi State to a 5-3 win over South Carolina Wednesday night in the second round of the Southeastern Conference tournament. The Bulldogs loaded the bases with one out before Henderson and Rea drove in runs on consecutive at-bats for the second time in the game.

HOOVER, Ala. (AP) - Ray Parker pitched eight-plus innings to lead Texas A&M to a 5-0 victory over top-seeded Vanderbilt on Wednesday in the second round of the Southeastern Conference baseball tournament. The Aggies produced three solo homers and Parker made sure it was plenty in the double-elimination tournament.

NEW YORK (AP) - Brandon Phillips bounced a bizarre double over first base to snap a ninth-inning tie, and the Cincinnati Reds completed a 3-game sweep of the struggling New York Mets with a 7-4 victory Wednesday. Joey Votto homered and Zack Cozart had a career-high four hits, all off Matt Harvey.

CINCINNATI (AP) - Andy Dalton saw A.J. Green lined up on the outside and let it fly. The Bengals aren't wasting time on fixing 1 of their shortcomings. They're throwing long passes during their offseason team workouts this week, trying to get the long-distance connection that was missing in their biggest games last season.
